Getting More Information
The CHKS is only one part of what should be an ongoing evaluation of your school, programs, climate and community.It provides a clear point of reference for your schools’ in their review process. The process may also include continuing the conversation with students, parents, staff and community members.
It can also include getting more information out of what was asked in the survey.
To facilitate this districts can request School-Level Reports and can also request the Raw Data Sets.
- School-Level Reports
- Details: These Technical Reports can be ordered at anytime and can be extremely useful in seeing how one school compares to another or the district, county, state averages.
- Cost: $50.00 per school

- Note: Schools in districts that ‘sampled’ are unable to receive School-Level Reports as are schools/grades with less than 25 students responding.
- Raw Data Sets
- Details: Raw data is provided in SPSS format for further data analysis. Familiarity with SPSS and/or data analysis is required. This allows districts or counties to further analysis.
- Cost: $50.00 per set (Elementary - grade 5 and Upper - grades 7, 9, 11, NT) are separate sets.
- To order: Districts are able to order their own data by completing the Data MOU and sending it to their Regional CHKS Center.
- Note: To protect student confidentiality certain variables, such as classroom identifiers, are deleted from the data sets.
