Mark Duerr founded and is Executive Director for Duerr Evaluation Resources, a 22 year old firm providing a variety of program evaluation and information management solutions to well over 300 clients. The company works primarily in the fields of primary prevention on a range of topics such as substance use, gang intervention, pregnancy prevention, nutrition, and health services. Clients have included the California Departments of Health Services, Mental Health, Resources, Education as well as the Governor’s Office and Office of the Attorney General. These contracts are balanced with dozens of smaller local projects with school districts, counties, nonprofit agencies, and others. Duerr’s personal work has focused most frequently on prevention science and project development. He was selected by his peers to facilitate a session on evaluation ethics at an international evaluation conference and has contributed several publications in the evaluation field.

Prior to creating the firm, Duerr was a partner and worked three years for Butte Canyon Research Associates.

Duerr has a B.S. in psychology and a Master of Public Administration Degree from California State University, Chico. His graduate studies focused on public policy analysis and evaluation.
