Introduction to California Early Start Library

The California Early Start Library is a specialized collection of early intervention resource materials and information. It is a free information service to help families, specialists, educators, caregivers, advocates, and other service providers who are working to improve the lives of infants and toddlers with disabilities or those at risk for developmental delays. The Library is funded by the California Department of Developmental Services.

The California Early Start Library offers a wide variety of materials and staff provide resource assistance for individual requests. The library collection of over 4,000 items includes books, manuals, reports, research articles, brochures, training materials, and videotapes related to early intervention topics. Current periodicals on prevention and early intervention topics are maintained as reference materials.
