The guiding mission of the Center is to promote positive outcomes for children and youth with special needs and their families through training and support to the personnel and agencies that serve them. To that end, our goals are to:
- Facilitate systemic change through organizational and program development to improve services to children who have or are at risk for disabilities
- Increase the quantity of qualified, appropriately trained personnel providing prevention and early intervention services
- Increase community and local agency capacity through collaborative networks to support continuous personnel development opportunities for all individuals who work with children
- Support effective relationships and services between agencies, service providers, children and families through the development and dissemination of resource materials, training and technical assistance
