Project Description: Early Start Resources assists in developing Early Start outreach materials and disseminates information and resources to anyone interested in early intervention and prevention. The project is funded by the California Department of Developmental Services.

The project:

• maintains the California Early Start Library, a specialized collection of over 4,000 books, journals, and media loaned statewide;
  
• assists the California Department of Developmental Services in providing public awareness and outreach;
  
• disseminates over 265,000 resources yearly to interested individuals; and
  
• provides information, linkage, and referral via a toll-free phone number, 800.869.4337.
