Director(s): Virginia Reynolds

The Center for Prevention & Early Intervention (CPEI) at WestEd, in partnership with the University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities at Childrens Hospital Los Angeles, produced the "3Rs of Early Childhood: Relationships, Resilience, & Readiness."

This 9-1/2 minute DVD describes the importance of a strong social and emotional foundation for school readiness. It presents two decades of research indicating the importance of the first few years of life.

Using early brain development as its research base, pioneers in the field have shaped the way we look at early relationships and their impact on children in a variety of developmental areas.
