Achievement for All

WestEd's Achievement 4 All (A4A) is a customized, result-oriented professional development process that ensures sustainable implementation of Response to Intervention (RtI) practices that accelerate the achievement of all students, including students with disabilities and English learners.
The premise of RtI is that all students receive support as needed, preventing any child from "slipping through the cracks."
A4A offers a gap analysis designed to help school sites identify the elements that are currently in place and which ones are lacking in order to move forward for effective implementation.
The gap analysis helps each site identify which process steps to focus on, with WestEd consultants working with each school site to identify and recommend an individual action plan to address the gaps.
The following two training options are available to accommodate scheduling needs.
Professional Development Option One:
Six On-Site Workshops and Eight Days of Technical Assistance
A4A can be provided in six three-hour workshops for up to 35 participants that are flexibly scheduled throughout the school year. Each workshop is designed sequentially so that participants can learn and implement specific RtI process steps prior to moving on to the next step.
Each workshop includes forms and templates that support teams in the development of their own process strategies to meet the specific needs of their own particular school sites.
The on-site technical assistance is customized based upon each school's gap analysis. The assistance may include curriculum coaching, data analysis, classroom modeling, collaborative conversations, professional learning community development, goal setting, and ongoing support to trouble shoot implementation steps based on evidence-based practices that accelerate student achievement.
Professional Development Option Two:
40-Hour Summer Institute and Eight Days of Technical Assistance
A4A provides an intensive five-day, 40-hour Summer Institute that includes a gap analysis, evidence-based practical information, hands-on instructional alignment and planning time, demonstration, and opportunities for action planning and trouble shooting implementation steps.
The on-site technical assistance is scheduled throughout the school year and has the same components as Option 1.
