Kari Stewart
Program Associate Kari Stewart is a Program Associate at the WestEd Center for Prevention and Early Intervention. Her primary responsibility is to provide program assistance to the center's Program Director. Stewart's other duties involve program development and managing the development and implementation of the comprehensive system of personnel development.
Previously, Stewart was a consultant to the Joint Committee to Develop a Master Plan for Education, where she facilitated a citizens’ working group that addressed issues of training and professional development. She also served as a senior research and policy analyst for the California School Boards Association, where she provided research and training to educators throughout the state on a variety of educational issues. Stewart has a BA in political science and social ecology from the University of California, Irvine, and an MA in policy analysis from Stanford University School of Education.
