Judith Shulman, Director of the Institute for Case Development and the National Board Support Network at WestEd, will lead a two-day seminar supporting candidates for National Board Certification (NBC). Participants will:
- learn about NBC and the candidate process,
- consider how NBC can improve teacher quality,
- participate in examining and discussing a variety of portfolio entries,
- develop strategies for providing candidate support,
- learn about models for coaching and supporting candidates,
- dialogue with National Board Certified Teachers, candidates, and experienced support providers, and
- network with participants who have similar interests.
The seminar is limited to 25 participants.
