California Building a Presence for Science (CABAP)
CABAP is part of the 26-state Building a Presence network coordinated and supported by the National Science Teachers Association (NSTA). As part of this network, CABAP aims to have a teacher Point of Contact in every California public and private school. CABAP provides resources and information that support more and better K-12 science education for all California students.
Center for Assessment and Evaluation of Student Learning (CAESL)
CAESL, the Center for the Assessment and Evaluation of Student Learning, is a five-year project funded by the National Science Foundation to improve student learning and understanding in science through focusing on effective assessment. Funded by the National Science Foundation, this CLE project is investigating the manner in which everyday experience influences the way students interpret and solve science and mathematics test items. Since 1987, the National Center for Improving Science Education (NCISE) mission has been to
- promote change in policies and practices for science, mathematics, and technology education at the national, state, and local levels;
- bridge the gaps among research, policy, and practice in the areas of curriculum, teaching and learning, and assessment; and
- help people make informed and unbiased choices through a range of research, services, and products.
Partnership for the Assessment of Standards-based Science
