Doris Waters joined WestEd in 2000 as an Administrative Program Manager for the K-12 Alliance, with whom she has been working since 1989. She acts as a liaison with other professional development organizations, science and math groups, the state department of education, county offices of education, businesses, and schools and districts. She also provides administrative support to the program director and six regional directors. Waters is also an adjunct faculty member at Golden West College in Huntington Beach, working in the computer/business applications department. She is a member of the International Association of Administrative Professionals (IAAP); the American Association of University Women (AAUW); and the California Business Education Association (CBEA); and serves on the Golden West College Advisory Board. Waters holds an AA in administrative sciences, a BA in vocational education, and an MA in vocational education from California State University, Long Beach.
