Nationwide, more than 6.5 million infants, toddlers, and youth are eligible for early intervention, special education, and related services under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act. WestEd works with educators, policymakers, and service providers to build state and local capacity to improve outcomes for individuals with disabilities and their families.
Our staff provide technical assistance to state departments of education and professional development for early intervention and district personnel, conduct rigorous research and program evaluation, and develop resources.
