This evaluation will provide timely feedback, thoroughly describing the development and implementation of the OMA Professional Development (PD) model and measuring how well specific PD activities and materials meet their objectives.

Measures will be developed to assess the quality, intensity and duration of the following professional development activities: 1) the Fine Arts Summer Institute (FASI); (2) artist/teacher seminars; (3) quarterly professional development seminars for art specialists/teachers and teaching artists; and (4) monthly professional development meetings for OMA administrators.

These data will include the number and type of PD activities, as well as the number of hours of PD received by each participant in each activity.

WestEd will develop a web-based data collection system to allow the centralized collection and analysis of all PD process and assessment data. The system will be developed in the first project year and used on an ongoing basis to shape the development of PD activities and materials.
