WestEd is evaluating a major new initiative in the Canadian Province of Quebec — the Quebec Community Learning Centres.

LEARN has been funded to select, guide, and support a network of 15 English language schools that are developing as Community Learning Centres (CLCs) to improve student success, build partnerships within the community and across the province, and increase access of Anglophone citizens to education, social, and other services.

WestEd is conducting a formative evaluation of LEARN’s work with the CLCs, in-depth case portraits of each of the 15 CLCs, and a summative evaluation of the changes brought about and the lessons learned about effective strategies used by the CLCs as well as barriers they encountered.
