Making Time Count
Research about the complex relationship between time and learning reveals that, as with money, the impact of providing more school time for students depends on how it is used. Drawing from an earlier WestEd research report, "Improving Student Achievement by Extending School: Is It Just a Matter of Time," which describes the connections between time spent in school and student learning, this WestEd Policy Brief teases out the policy implications of that research and makes policy recommendations aimed at both the state and local levels.
