
Learning, Technology, and Education Reform in the Knowledge Age, or "We're Wired, Webbed, and Windowed, Now What?"

This article reviews what it means to be in the Knowledge Age; lays out the needed skills, theoretical supports, and main features of this new learning landscape; shows how the Knowledge Age-driven "turn-around" strategy for reform compares with the current "top-down," "bottom-up," and "systemic-mixed mode" models; and describes the critical work to be done to bring the powerful toolkits of educational technology to the service of an emerging alternative education model.
