Goals of the Service
WestEd staff analyze the impact of state and institutional policies that influence the opportunities for and experiences of students transitioning from secondary education to postsecondary education and/or career.
Two key areas of focus are the alignment of policies and the effects of policies on traditionally underserved students.
Format of the Service
Our team conducts case study research, alignment studies, and analyses of promising practices to determine the efficacy and impact of state and institutional policies related to postsecondary education and career.
Our research is typically presented through concise reports, white papers, and briefs targeted toward a policy audience. We also serve a variety of other audience groups (e.g., media outlets, researchers, academics, educators).
