As its Chief Financial Officer, Nancy Riddle is responsible for financial accountability and performance in support of the mission and work of WestEd. She oversees an agency budget of more than $100 million, helping to ensure fiscal viability of the agency. Her responsibilities include:

• managing the Accounting and Finance, Contracts, and Property and Facility Management departments;
• overseeing the agency's financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, accounting, and tracking activities;
• providing strategic, operational, and financial analysis and advice for all areas of WestEd operations;
• leading the development of agencywide financial performance policies, processes, and controls;
• serving as primary advisor to the Chief Executive Officer and Board of Directors on financial matters; and
• developing a financial modeling process to ensure that financial goals are achieved, risk is commensurately managed, and investment opportunities quickly assessed.

Riddle has extensive experience with competitive government contracting and knowledge of applicable regulations, and has established and sustained relationships with key funding agencies and organizations.

Riddle has been involved in numerous civic activities. As School Board Director for the Berkeley Unified School District, she cochaired a successful $20 million school parcel tax campaign and parcel tax campaign. Riddle also helped implement high school reform, updated and strengthened an elementary school integration plan, increased staff and curriculum development, strengthened school site governance and multiyear planning, and shifted the district toward a data-driven culture.

She previously volunteered for the Berkeley (California) Unified School District, serving as Campaign Treasurer and Campaign Finance Manager. As Treasurer for Prytanean Alumnae, Inc., Riddle directed all financial activities for the 3,000-member University of California, Berkeley, honor society alumnae organization.

A Certified Public Accountant, Riddle received a BS in business administration and an MBA from the University of California, Berkeley.
