As WestEd Accounts Payable Specialist, Bory Ngo ensures agency staff are paid for travel, travel advance, and other expense reimbursements in a timely manner.

Ngo also ensures external clients are paid promptly for their travel and services. If a request for payment is not completed, Ngo immediately notifies the appropriate program staff member or administrative assistant with information on what needs to be completed to get the request processed. Known for her attention to detail and customer service skills, Ngo frequently helps staff and external clients with reimbursement procedures and questions.

In 2005, Ngo and her Accounting and Finance Department colleagues received the Annual Award for Exceptional Contribution to the WestEd Community for their improvements in accounting systems. Ngo and her colleagues' attention to detail and ability to manage complex funding streams have helped WestEd programs thrive.

Prior to joining WestEd in 1997, Ngo worked for Long Beach Community Services Development Corporation, Inc., a nonprofit organization. She performed full cycles of accounts payable, from receipt of vendor invoices/expense vouchers to payment, with multiple grant programs. She also reconciled monthly bank statements of operating accounts and processed a biweekly payroll.

In 2003, Ngo received the Good Hearted Lion Award from Alhambra Lions Club for her Arcadia Relay for Life fund-raising efforts for the American Cancer Society.

Ngo received an AA in accounting from Triton College.
