Jocelyn Scheibe
Research Associate
As a Research Associate with the Center for Child and Family Studies Evaluation Team at WestEd, Jocelyn Scheibe oversees projects and activities on a variety of contracts.
She establishes and maintains organizational systems that support the project directors and staff, which results in increased staff efficiency and effectiveness.
In addition, Scheibe uses online project management tools to develop, manage, and track work plans for projects, enabling project directors to stay on track and on budget.
Her work also includes financial monitoring and analysis; subcontractor and consultant contract management; and general project management support to staff.
She has provided similar support to Innovation Studies and the Regional Educational Laboratory West at WestEd.
Scheibe served on the agency's Program Task Force, which increased collaboration, coordination, and consistency across programs by sharing tools, ideas, information, and practices. Through the Program Task Force, Scheibe was instrumental in developing WestEd's Onboarding Guide. Scheibe co-managed this project from inception to roll-out.
Prior to joining WestEd in 2008, Scheibe was the Associate Director at an Oakland, CA, community-based cultural arts nonprofit organization.
She has also volunteered with numerous Bay Area nonprofits. Her work at these organizations has resulted in streamlined administrative and financial processes, stronger fund development strategies, and more effective program management.
As a Senior Project Manager at Charles Schwab, Scheibe managed corporate-wide projects for human resources and numerous business units.
She also conducted best practices research in human resources and created organizational development tools and resources for a human resources management consultant firm. These tools offered clients case studies and guidance in implementing innovative HR practices, and were selected by Human Resource Executive Magazine as a Top New HR Product.
Scheibe received a BA in economics from Reed College and an MBA from the University of California, Berkeley's Haas School of Business.
