Linda Broatch is an Editor/Writer in WestEd's Communications Department. She works on a variety of projects, including publications, reports, and web-based content.

Prior to joining WestEd, Broatch wrote and edited research-based and feature articles for the SchwabLearning.org website for parents of children with learning and attention difficulties.

Broatch's professional experience also includes editing prekindergarten learning and development guidelines for the California Department of Education and co-producing related videos illustrating best practices; and serving as Project Editor for a literature-based K-8 language arts curriculum.

In addition, she was Statewide Communications Director for a nonprofit program at the University of California at Berkeley that promoted math and science achievement and college enrollment among students from ethnic groups underrepresented in math-based professions.

Broatch received a BA in English from the University of Washington and an MA in early childhood education from Mills College.
