Patsy Wilkes

Project Administrator

As Project Administrator with the Center for the Future of Teaching and Learning at WestEd, Patsy Wilkes coordinates key initiatives, all aimed at strengthening the quality of the teaching workforce.

Specifically, Wilkes coordinates the work of Teaching and California's Future, Strengthening Science Education in California, Ready to Succeed, and Strengthening Science and Math Course-Taking. National and state policymakers, educators, education leaders, practitioners, and the public all benefit from these projects.

Wilkes joined WestEd in 2011 when the Center for the Future of Teaching and Learning moved to WestEd. Previously, Wilkes served as Vice President of Operations and Programs at the Center. She was responsible for program leadership and oversight, financial management and administration, resource development, internal and external operations, and special projects. As a founding staff member, she helped establish the organization in 1995.

Wilkes received a BA in psychology and a BA in anthropology from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
