Having joined the WestEd Communications staff in 2000, Noel White leads the process of creating an agencywide annual report, edits the R&D Alert newsletter, works with staff members to shape how their programs and departments are presented online, and helps develop other print and web products, including serving as the editor for the Math Pathways & Pitfalls K–8 intervention curriculum.

His previous work — at Harvard Project Zero, the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching, and the George Lucas Educational Foundation — included research and writing on a variety of education programs, curriculum development, and an ethnographic study of collaboration in school reform.

White received a BS in anthropology from Cornell University and an EdM from the Harvard Graduate School of Education.
