Best Practices in Adolescent Literacy Instruction
Litman has performed multiple research and development roles in elementary, secondary, and after-school literacy initiatives for over 12 years. Prior to her work in the field of literacy, Litman conducted developmental research on parent-child and peer relations during early childhood as a graduate student and postgraduate researcher at the University of California (UC), Davis.
She is the author of several books (published by the Developmental Studies Center) and articles in scholarly journals focusing on the relationship among social, emotional, and intellectual/literacy development.
Litman earned an MS in child development from UC Davis, and a BA in human development from Pacific Oaks College. She also holds a Teaching Credential from UC Davis.
