Description:

Learn the component parts of For Our Babies, a campaign that advocates for better services for children under three.

You also will learn the needs of babies for four types of currently under-supported services:
  • Supported pregnancies
  • Paid parental leave
  • Screening and follow-up services
  • Quality infant/toddler care
You will be given ways to join this campaign and take specific action in one of these four areas.

The presenters will summarize recent neuroscience and developmental psychology to clearly spell out the connection between early support for babies and future functioning in school and adult life.

  • Future social, emotional, intellectual, and language capacities of the children in their care
  • Role parents play in fostering brain development
