Center for Child & Family Studies (CCFS)
Ensuring a healthy start for our nation's children.

The Center for Child & Family Studies (CCFS) is dedicated to helping America's children get a healthy start in life. It does this by promoting the availability of research-based quality care for children birth to three; improving the effectiveness of supportive intervention for all children and families living in poverty; and influencing national, regional, and local policies and practices that have an impact on young children and their families.

In 2002, the National Center for Children in Poverty selected CCFS's Program for Infant/Toddler Care as a model initiative to support infants, toddlers, and their families. CCFS recently completed the field-test version of a new home visiting curriculum, and has helped strengthen struggling community-based agencies so they, in turn, can better support families.
