Standards After more than a decade, content standards are in place in almost every state in the nation, but their implementation at the local level remains a challenge. WestEd projects work with districts to define local standards that align with state standards, work with teachers to adopt standards-based instructional practices, and work with state and local policymakers to ensure that student assessments align with the content students are expected to learn.
