Producer/Content Specialist

As Senior Content and Implementation Specialist with the Tracker Product Team, Libby Rognier works within the Comprehensive Schools Assistance Program (CSAP) in the development and implementation of online tools to assist state education agencies and other clients to provide online support for school and district improvement activities.

Rognier's development work continues and expands her previous efforts with the California Comprehensive Center and Southwest Comprehensive Center at WestEd. In that capacity, she helped departments of education in the western states develop and implement systems of support for schools and districts in need of improvement, thus helping states meet federal requirements as well as address the achievement needs of all students.

She also manages the Closing the Achievement Gap website, part of the California statewide initiative aimed at supporting the work of policymakers, educators, and interested community members, with an electronic hub for helpful information, research, and success stories about efforts to close the gap in California.

Rognier applies her 25 years of experience in curriculum design and integration, instruction and assessment, and support for schools, districts, and states in her technology work. Previously at WestEd she worked with the WestEd Eisenhower Regional Consortium for Science and Mathematics Education, where she collaborated with western states and nationally to provide professional development in science instruction and assessment, and facilitate the development of state standards and assessments for science.

Rognier is a member of WestEd's Equity Council, which promotes staff diversity and inclusion. Representing a broad cross-section of staff, the Committee offers guidance to the Chief Executive Officer on ensuring a supportive work environment.

Prior to joining WestEd in 1993, Rognier worked in instructional television and other instructional media, assisting teachers in integrating technology into standards-based instruction. She also worked as a Speech and Language Specialist for PreK-8 public schools.

She received a BS in speech pathology and audiology from Eastern Kentucky University and an MA in hearing and speech sciences from the University of Maryland. She also holds a California Credential for Clinical or Rehabilitative Services in language, speech, and hearing for preK-12.
