Elissa Provance Communications Coordinator Elissa Provance is the Communications Coordinator at the WestEd Center for Prevention and Early Intervention. She works collaboratively with state agency and program staff to develop products for practitioners, policymakers, and families. She also manages prepublication review processes, performs research, and completes original writing on complex issues. Provance's previous positions include community newspaper editor, director of communications and membership, special project director, and political/environmental reporter. She has a BA in psychology from the State University of New York, Oneonta, and an MS in journalism from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond.
