Release of DRDPtech© for 2011 Field Testing
DRDPtech© is a server-based computer support system for the Desired Results Developmental Profile© (2010) (DRDP© (2010)) assessment instruments. This system is for use by programs that can install and manage DRDPtech© for themselves on a server controlled by the agency that provides access to the internet. For more information about system requirements please refer to the DRDPtech© Installation Manual. DRDPtech© is designed to allow teachers, program administrators, and other designated staff to enter the results of assessments using the DRDP© (2010) instruments and to produce a variety of reports about the results for individual children and groups of children.
At this time, the California Department of Education, Child Development Division (CDE/CDD) is pleased to announce the release of DRDPtech© for field testing to specific programs within California as indicted below. The DRDPtech© resources listed below, including a demonstration of DRDPtech© , may be accessed by any interested individual.

Participation in the field test is limited to child development programs and Family Child Care Home Education Network (FCCHEN) programs that receive funding from the CDE/CDD. In addition, Head Start programs in California that are administered by agencies funded by the CDE/CDD may also participate in the field test. Agencies choosing to participate in the field test will be allowed to download and install DRDPtech© at no cost to these agencies. A technology person who is knowledgeable about downloading large files, installation of server software, and database management should be available to install the program. If the agency administrators or technology staff have questions about this process, they may contact the CDD DRDPtech© Help Desk at 916-319-0439.
To participate in the field test, the agency administrator must enter the agency contract code and then review and accept the End User Licensing Agreement (EULA). Once that process is completed, the agency will be allowed to download and install DRDPtech© . The EULA sets forth the terms and conditions for agencies that are accessing and using DRDPtech© software and any DRDP© manuals or other documentation supplied by the CDE/CDD in conjunction with the DRDPtech© software, and any corrections, bug fixes, enhancements, updates, or other modifications created and supplied by the CDE/CDD. The EULA requires agencies participating in the field test to provide redacted DRDP© data from the DRDP© assessments completed during the period of the field test by emailing an excel file containing the data to an email address specified in the EULA.
A full release of DRDPtech© is scheduled for the summer of 2011. This will include a standalone option to be operated on a single computer. DRDPtech© will be available at no cost to the CDE/CDD contractors and available for sale to the public at the CDE Press.
