Planning Tools   The Facilitator Support section includes several planning tools to assist you in assessing your needs and deciding how best to use LfA materials to meet your goals as a professional developer. We know that it is not enough to simply provide more and better professional development. In this age of accountability, students are expected to meet high standards, teachers are being held accountable for student achievement, and professional developers are being asked to show that their work is effective. We have assembled materials to help you collect evidence about the impact of your work and to chart your own progress. In addition, we offer variations for developing each of the modules beyond its basic two-hour session. These variations can be incorporated to create a variety of sequences for a professional development series focused on mathematics assessment.
