In Quest of Excellence: National Board Certification
This power point presentation was developed by WestEd for a variety of presentations to advance National Board Certification. Some of the slides were created by WestEd staff, some by the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards, and some by the California Department of Education. WestEd staff typically tailors the presentation according to the needs of individual groups. National Board support providers are free to use and/or adapt the presentation for their own work, as long as WestEd and the other organizations are acknowledged.

Support Program Assessment Tool

This brochure concisely presents timely and important information on how administrators can support National Board candidates in their schools and/or districts. It describes the history and makeup of the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards, outlines the benefits and standards of certification, and explains the components of the certification process. It also provides useful tips and incentives that administrators can offer to candidates at each stage of the process.
When the Journey Is Its Own Reward: Supporting National Board Candidates
