| What is LAPDS? WestEd's Local Accountability Professional Development Series (LAPDS) helps teachers and administrators create and implement a research-based standards, assessment, and interventions for a comprehensive local accountability system. This system allows you to tailor curriculum to quickly and effectively boost performance ensuring that all students meet state and federal requirements. How LAPDS Helps You LAPDS staff help district and school teams create accountability plans based on district and school needs. Then through a series of workshops, planning and coaching sessions, LAPDS helps district and school leaders implement these plans. Ensuring continued success, LAPDS offers follow-up coaching sessions to assess and hone the implementation of the accountability measures by all staff. Our services include: Key Resources: Authored by leaders in the field, these materials help you understand and improve your school system. Action Plan: WestEd's Online Action Plan is an easy-to-use tool that facilitates the planning process and provides progress reports. Follow-Up Coaching: Our staff help schools and districts successfully implement and manage your new assessment and accountability system. All of LAPDS's comprehensive services are designed specifically to increase student performance and to get your district above and beyond standards. West of the Mississippi, the program is delivered by WestEd's Comprehensive School Assistance Program. East of the Mississippi, the services are delivered by WestEd's Learning Innovations.
