This video tape is in two parts. The first part is a short orientation to the overall goals of the Teachers as Learners video
library and provides a glimpse of what you will see on the videos in the collection. Commentators describe what is in the
collection and its purposes, and there are short clips from several of the video tapes. Facilitators planning to use the collection
should watch this tape to gain an overview of the contents and uses of the Teachers as Learners library.
The second part of this tape is a tribute to Susan Loucks-Horsley who was Principal Investigator for the Teachers as Learners
project. The collection is dedicated to Susan whose unfailing commitment to fundamental change in professional development
inspired so many of us. Susan died very unexpectedly in 2000 from injuries sustained from a fall. For those of you who knew
Susan, or use her books and other resources in your work, part two of this videotape shares memories of her and her contribution
to the field of education.
