Student Outcomes: 1. Students will learn to work as a task oriented group to manage a bulletin board service. 2. Students will have the skills necesary to interact with members of their peer group to research, generate solutions to problems, elaborate existing ideas, apply existing technology to the needs of the community. 3. Students will learn about hardware and software for telecommunications.

Instructional Plan: The curricular and instructional focus of this TIP is to establish a student run community electronic bulletin board to improve school/home communications The students will work in cooperative groups to identify the elements needed to establish, successful implement and maintain a community electronic bulletin board. They will then identify the critical concepts teachers, parents, and other students will need to learn related to the identified issues. The concepts will be developed by the students with the assistance of the teacher and community volunteers. The second component of this TIP is the continued operation and upgrading of the system to add new features for access by both school and home users. The students will learn all the elements of maintaining an electronic bulletin board including system upgrades, networking, programming languages, and Internet protocols. The students will use the Internet to deliver and connect the schools and the community. The final product will be a student developed and run electronic bulletin board system that will improve the learning environment with better home/school communications.
Technology Integration: Communications and computer technology are the heart of this project. I will gather talented computer students together, try to integrate them as a task group to implement this bulletin board service.
