INTERVENTION PLAN
Student Outcomes:
1. Students will learn how to produce safety videotapes.
2. Students will increase knowledge of skills needed to produce a CD ROM.
3. Students will improve collaborative skills to work in crews as member of real world team.
Teacher Outcomes: 1. Teacher will learn how to access Internet and find resources using The Shepherd.
2. Teacher will learn how to make a CD ROM.
3. Teacher will learn how to use the Teacher's Associate to professionally manage learning. Instructional Plan:
The curricular and instructional focus of this TIP is school and community and video productin. The sutdents will work in cooperative teams to identify safety issues and hazards at school and in the community. They will then identify the critical concepts other students need to learn related to the identified issues. The concepts will be developed by the students and portrayed in student produced videos. For this second component of this TIP, students will work in teams, modeled after production teams in the "real world" of video production. They will learn all elements of producing a video including storyboarding, script writing, editing, set design, and filming. The students will use the Internet to access resources for their videos and to communicate with students in other locales who have produced videos. LThe final product will be a student developed and produced video to teach new students of the safety hazards in the community. Technology Integration:
1. Teacher's Associate and Shepherd to access teacher lessons plans and resources.
2. Netscape and Shepherd will be used to gther information
3. Video equipment will be used by students to produce a tape.
4. Computers and Power Point software will be used to make video presentation.
