California Building a Presence for Science (CABAP)

California is embarking on a new effort to build a statewide network of classroom science teachers, and provide them with science teaching resources and professional development opportunities. Building a Presence for Science (www.nsta.org/bap) is a nation-wide project of the National Science Teachers Association (NSTA), supported by the ExxonMobil Foundation. A consortium of California science organizations has been funded by NSTA to implement this project in California. Lead organizations are WestEd, California Department of Education, California Science Teachers Association, K-12 Alliance, and California Science Project.

We are currently seeking Key Leaders throughout the state who will each be responsible for recruiting 20 - 30 Points of Contact. For more information about becoming a key leader, click here.

Interested in becoming a Point of Contact?
We are very interested in hearing from teachers who want to be a Point of Contact at their school. A school can have one or many Points of Contact. For more information about becoming a Point of Contact for your school, click here.
