California Building a Presence for Science (CABAP)

Point of Contact (PoC)

A Point of Contact (PoC) is a classroom teacher who is an advocate and contact person for science education in his or her individual school building. A school can have one or many Points of Contact.

Each Point of Contact will:

• Register electronically in the NSTA database.
• Receive resources provided by the statewide leadership and their Key Leader.
• Disseminate to other teachers in their school the information/resources received through participating in CABAP.
• Be encouraged and assisted to participate in a local Building a Presence training.
• Be encouraged and assisted to access the statewide online resources.

If you are interested in being a Point of Contact, register on the NSTA website: www.nsta.org/bap by selecting "Become a Point of Contact", then California, then submitting the requested information.
