Jose Franco

José Franco is a Senior Research Associate with WestEd’s Quality Schools and Districts team and Director of Math Pathways & Pitfalls. The Math Pathways & Pitfalls is a K–8 mathematics enrichment program that interweaves the tenets of improving students’ math comprehension and academic language development. Drawing on a deep knowledge of K–12 mathematics pedagogy, Franco provides technical assistance to educators on the implementation of professional learning communities, powerful lesson planning, and student conversations..

Bob Rosenfeld

Robert Rosenfeld, a Senior Engagement Manager with WestEd’s Quality Schools and Districts team, has decades of experience supporting schools to create systems that enhance leadership, strengthen teaching, and increase student learning. He leads projects that support the review and implementation of curricula, assessments, and innovative teaching practices. He is a former math and science teacher and is bilingual.
