WestEd’s Kurt Larsen can now add “Outstanding Educational Technology Professional” to his list of achievements.

CUE, a nonprofit education corporation, honored 12 outstanding educational technology professionals during its recent annual conference in Palm Springs, CA. Larsen was among those recognized for infusing curriculum with technology, for leading through innovation, and for continually finding creative ways to help students succeed.

Larsen, a Senior Project Manager at WestEd, was awarded CUE’s Platinum Disk, presented to members of the educational technology community who have made significant ongoing contributions to the advancement of technology in education.

States technologist and business advisor Roger Wagner in his nomination of Larsen:

“I enthusiastically recommend and endorse Kurt Larsen for the Platinum Disk Award as a well-deserved recognition of not just many years of service, but a role model and having made a tangible difference in the organization’s mission, vision and operation.”

Larsen’s contributions include helping develop and support the first Google Teacher Academy and encouraging the development of web apps and platforms.
