PITC Trainer Institute, Module III (Learning and Development) & Module IV (Culture, Family, and Providers)

Register for the PITC Trainer Institute.

The Program for Infant/Toddler Care at WestEd conducts Trainer Institutes that are offered to educators, program managers, and other professionals responsible for training infant/toddler care teachers.

The Trainer Institutes help trainers deepen their understanding of each PITC module. In addition, they provide trainers with the necessary skills to successfully present the PITC concepts to a variety of audiences.

Upon completing the certification requirements, participants receive a certificate of completion from WestEd and the California Department of Education that recognizes them as trainers for the specific module in which they received training.

Training activities include sessions with leading experts in infant development and care and faculty from the California Department of Education Child Development Division and the Center for Child and Family Studies at WestEd.

In addition to covering major content areas, each Trainer Institute focuses on adult learning and teaching strategies.
