We know that learning is social, but many teachers still work in isolation. They may work in a rural school, or are the only English as a second language teacher for a school district.

The Center for the Future of Teaching and Learning (CFTL) at WestEd wants to share the strategies that Teacher Practice Networks (TPN) grantees have developed for Empowering Teachers as Leaders and Learners with as many educators and organizations as possible. So we’ve assembled a powerful panel to present at SXSWedu 2016 in Austin. Vote now.

We’re passionate about sharing what we know about the urgent need to support isolated teachers and how technology is bridging the gaps. Our panel features three organizations that use digital strategies including virtual coaching, teacher-to-teacher networking, and online professional learning communities to empower their teachers and address professional isolation.

Our hearts are set on taking a panel of TPN representatives to SXSWedu 2016 in Austin, Texas. But before we can pack our bags, we have to be voted in! To show your support and interest in learning from the great folks of TPN, cast your vote!

Help us share this work at SXSWedu and spread the word about how to support teachers in isolation. Learn more about the Empowering Teachers as Leaders and Learners panel and give it the “thumbs up.”

Voting is open through Friday, September 4 — plenty of time to tell your friends and colleagues!

Thank you for your support and we hope to see you there.
