WestEd's Quellmalz to Join AERJ Editorial Board

Edys Quallmalz

WestEd’s Edys Quellmalz has accepted an invitation to join the editorial board of the American Educational Research Journal.

As stated on the publisher’s website, the journal “publishes original empirical and theoretical studies and analyses in education that constitute significant contributions to the understanding and/or improvement of educational processes and outcomes.”

Quellmalz serves as Director of Technology Enhanced Assessments & Learning Systems at WestEd. She has served as Principal Investigator on grants from the National Science Foundation, the Institute of Education Sciences, the Office of Secondary and Elementary Education, and the Carnegie Corporation.

She also co-directed development of the 2014 Framework for the National Assessment of Educational Progress in Technology and Engineering Literacy.

Among many projects at WestEd, Quellmalz has built the SimScientists project portfolio to promote and assess deep science learning through online simulations.
