Priscilla Rodriguez serves as the Project Director Educational Leadership for WestEd’s Educational Leadership and System Design team. Rodriguez provides professional development and coaching to systems leaders, principals, and instructional coaches in the area of instructional leadership. With over 15 years in school leadership, she has extensive experience applying systems-level thinking to scaling educational improvement efforts in schools.
Prior to joining WestEd, Rodriguez served as a high school assistant principal of curriculum and instruction and as a middle school principal. She created and facilitated professional development in the areas of school climate, curriculum, assessment, and data analysis. Rodriguez also served on school district teams to plan and facilitate professional learning for school and district leaders. Her site-level experience has provided her opportunities to help individuals build their capacity to thrive on administrative teams and to be effective site leaders. Rodriguez started her career as a high school English teacher.
Rodriguez holds a B.A. in English from California State University, Long Beach, and an M.A.Ed. from Whittier College.
