As Marketing Content Manager for WestEd’s Publications Center, Tanicia Bell provides key support for agency staff and clients interested in WestEd products.
A member of the Communications Program, Bell handles nearly 3,000 customer orders per year and helps WestEd clients identify products that provide the best solutions for their needs.
She also helps to maintain the Publications Center warehouse and inventory, which houses over 200 books, free reports, and DVDs, generating more than half a million dollars in product sales annually.
Bell also exhibits products and promotes services at state and national education and human development conferences, creates marketing and publicity materials, and provides administrative support, including proofreading services, to Communications Program colleagues.
Her work helps to ensure the quality of agency products, and increases the visibility of WestEd’s evidence-based professional development services to those who need them.
She has worked for more than 16 years in various aspects of advertising, marketing, and publishing — from copy writing and proofreading to layout and design.
Prior to joining WestEd’s staff, Bell served as Catalog Specialist for book distributor Publishers Group West (PGW), where she worked closely with publishers and marketing managers to create effective marketing copy for the PGW catalog and website.
Bell serves on the board of the Northern California Book Publicity and Marketing Association (NCBPMA), and is also editor of NCBPMA’s monthly newsletter and weekly blog.
She received a BS in sociology from the University of California, Berkeley.
