Theresa Pfister (she/her) is a Program Associate on the Resilient and Healthy Schools and Communities team. Her experience in K-12, nonprofit, and higher education settings position her at the intersection of research and technical assistance. Here, she gets the best of both worlds: answering important questions while also developing crucial learning and support for educators and education leaders across the country.
Theresa holds a BA in English Literature from Pomona College, an MA in teaching from Relay Graduate School of Education, and a PhD in Educational Psychology-Applied Developmental Science from the University of Virginia’s School of Education and Human Development. Her dissertation explores the potential of social emotional learning for equity, specifically through civic efficacy, empathy, and critical reflection.
