Tran Keys

Tran Keys is a Senior Research Manager at WestEd. Keys has over fifteen years of experience working with school districts and other educational organizations to improve child outcomes. Keys has expertise in multiple technical assistance strategies including: research analysis and synthesis, process facilitation, coaching, and implementation of change initiatives based on continuous improvement processes. Keys provides mixed- method program evaluation and research to colleagues and clients to increase the use of high-quality data and evidence in education decision-making.

Keys was formerly the Executive Director of Research and Evaluation for the Santa Ana Unified School District in southern California where she led a team responsible for districtwide assessments, data, accountability, and using program evaluation for continuous improvement.

She has published in Educational Assessment, Child Development, and Contemporary Educational Psychology and has served as a What Works Clearinghouse certified reviewer of group designs (randomized controlled trials and quasi-experimental designs) since 2012.

Keys received her Ph.D. in Education from the University of California, Irvine.
