Tran Keys

Tran Keys is a Senior Research Manager in the Comprehensive School Assistance Program (CSAP) and Region 15 Comprehensive Center at WestEd. Keys has over 15 years of experience working with school districts and other educational organizations to improve child outcomes. Keys has expertise in research analysis and synthesis, program evaluation, impact assessment, process facilitation, coaching, stakeholder engagement, professional learning, and tool/resource development. She provides mixed-method program/impact evaluation and research to colleagues, partners, and clients to increase the use of evidence-based practices in educational decision-making.

Keys was formerly the Executive Director of Research and Evaluation for the Santa Ana Unified School District in southern California where she led a team responsible for districtwide assessments, data, accountability, and using program evaluation for continuous improvement.

Keys has published in Educational Assessment, Child Development, and Contemporary Educational Psychology and has served as a What Works Clearinghouse certified reviewer of group designs (randomized controlled trials and quasi-experimental designs) since 2012. Keys received her PhD in Education from the University of California, Irvine.
