Tran Dang Keys is a Senior Researcher in the Comprehensive School Assistance Program (CSAP) at WestEd. Her primary responsibilities include designing and conducting research and evaluation to inform educational policies and programs. Specifically, she is a member of CSAP’s impact assessment team that works to build data-use capacity and provide research and evaluation support to colleagues and partners on various projects aimed at improving student outcomes. Keys was formerly the Executive Director of Research and Evaluation for the Santa Ana Unified School District in southern California where she led a team responsible for district-wide assessments, data, accountability, and use of program evaluation for continuous improvement. She has published in Child Development and Contemporary Educational Psychology and has been a What Works Clearinghouse (WWC-certified) reviewer of group designs (randomized controlled trials and quasi-experimental designs) since 2012. Keys received her M.A. in Social Sciences (Demographic and Social Analysis) and Ph.D. in Education from the University of California, Irvine.
