Victor Diaz is an Organization Development Specialist for the Region 15 Comprehensive Center serving the states of Arizona, California, Nevada, and Utah, where he designs, manages, and implements projects to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of state education agencies. He has worked in public education for over 20 years, most recently as a district administrator leading the human resources departments in two Phoenix school districts and serving on the governing board for the Osborn School District. A published researcher, Diaz taught high school and middle school English/Language Arts and ELD for eight years before teaching in the colleges of education at Arizona State University and Grand Canyon University.
The first person in his family to graduate college, Diaz earned a PhD in education leadership and policy studies and a BA in Broadcast Journalism from Arizona State University, as well as an MA in educational equity and social justice from San Francisco State University. A proud Chicano, Diaz lives in Phoenix with his wife, Ari, and three sons, and outside of work can usually be found either near his record player or coaching his sons’ baseball and basketball teams.
