CenterView: California’s Approach to Math Instruction Still Doesn’t Add Up
This issue of CenterView provides an update on the 2005 CenterView focusing on 8th-grade Algebra I and finds that not much has changed in three years. California middle school students are still struggling in Algebra I and 32 percent of middle school math teachers are lacking a subject matter credential in mathematics.
