Compilation of Early Start Statutes and Regulations, Ninth Edition
This compilation contains federal and state statutes and regulations that authorize, fund, and regulate early intervention services for infants and toddlers in need.
These early intervention services specifically target infants and toddlers who have a developmental delay or disability, or have an established risk condition with harmful consequences for a developmental disability, and their families.
In California, the early intervention system is known as Early Start.
The document was produced by the California Early Intervention Technical Assistance Network, a project of Center for Prevention and Early Intervention at WestEd.
